My Buddies (picture from May)...

Sarajane (from Los Angeles) and Julie came to a nearby park and we just hung out one day when I was off of work. We had lots of fun with their kids and eating lunch. Sarajane gave me a very cute blue dress for Gracie. What a wonderful friend she is. Hope all is well with her.

Trip to the Temple...

So Alex and I went and did Iniatories and sealings at the SLC temple right before Gracie came. It was funny seeing how large I was. I had to rent a "large" temple dress too. What a sweet experience it was though. I cried so much during the whole time. Must be the hormones. :)

Baby Shower at Aunt Julie's House.....

Aunt Julie and all her girleys and my Dad's side aunts/cousins threw me a shower in May for Gracie too. It was so sweet and wonderful. I cry at the generosity of my wonderful relatives. My cousins came down from Idaho just for the shower. What awesome people they are. My cousins gave me 2 big bags of hand me downs for Gracie. It will be so fun to dress her up!!! They played a fun "Guess the Lullaby" game. During the game, I heard the song, "Gracie Girl" by Ben Folds and just bawled. I am so excited to welcome Gracie here! Definitely listen to this song!

Baby Shower at Bev's House

June 6: I was so overwhelmed with the generosity of everyone!! Bev was so sweet and threw me a baby shower for baby Gracie. She and Barbara and Debra worked hard. The cousins came down from Idaho (Alex's side). It was a fun and enjoyable day.

Our great friends Heather and Ryan were married May 30 at Log Haven up Milcreek Canyon. It was a pleasant day out and smelled like the end of Spring. Yumm....

After the family shower, Alex arose early to wash the car and assemble the swing. We couldn't wait to put it up for Gracie. He is the sweetest husband ever.

My buddy...

Julie and I and our husbands are great buddies. We have grown close in med school. Alex and Ben seem like they talk everyday about tests, teachers, classes, rotations, and the future. Julie and I have also been close friends. I admit that it was hard at first because she has three other kids. But I have grown to love their family. It is fun to babysit them. She is due close to the same time as me. This picture was taken at the ward shower. I couldn't resist sharing how cute Julie looks. Yes, I carry Gracie pretty low. We are both soooo excited. She is expecting a boy.

My wonderful friends from the ward, Bradeigh, Mandy, Nancy, and Sherrie threw me a baby shower. We had a lot of fun eating, opening cute baby clothes gifts and laughing. Check out this amazing diaper-cake creation that Bradeigh did. What amazing, creative, and sweet sweet friends I have.

Happy Nurses' Week May 6-12th! This is always celebrated around Mother's Day. It is a week commemorating nurses surrounding Florence Nightingale's birthday. At work, we had a bunch of gift baskets that hundreds of nurses put in raffle tickets for. I hoped and hoped for the basket with the puppets. It would be so fun to play puppets with Gracie and her friends. A bunch of my friends who are expecting also were putting in for this basket. Guess what? I won it!! Yeah, we'll have to have a fun puppet show. I won 4 nice hand made wildlife puppets with two baby finger puppets and four story books that went with it. Yippee!!! Just thought I'd share my joy.

Gracie's letters

Over conference weekend, Heidi, mom, and I had fun mod podging letters for Gracie's room. We had so much fun! Here is Alex and I after putting them up in Gracie's room. Her room is decorated with bees, Gerber daisies, and butterflies.

Happy Mother's Day!

This year has been the exception to well the last almost 8 years of my life. Every Mother's Day I have dreaded. Mostly because I thought the Lord forgot me and that someday I hoped I would be lucky enough to have a child. Well, this year, I am that lucky. Blessed with the grace of Heavenly Father no doubt. (That is why her name is Grace!) Here is a picture of me basking in the sereneness of the evening. We are each so blessed in different parts of life. We get stronger and have the opportunity to help each other. I feel like hugging everyone.
